Fees and charges apply as per Council fee schedule.
These are generally based on an application base fee to cover lodgement and initial review, and reporting. Additional time is charged on an hourly basis depending on the extent of investigations required.
Fees are calculated as per section 97 (d & e) of the Building Act 2004. This includes any fees, charges, and levies that would have been payable had the owner applied for a building consent before carrying out the work.
Once your application has been submitted and accepted all fees are payable no matter whether the outcome is to issue or refuse the COA.
