Historic house in Springston Springston is a small rural township west of Lincoln and Lincoln University.

The township is home to an historic primary school, opened in 1868, which still hums with the voices of about 160 pupils. School buses transport secondary pupils to Lincoln High School.

A number of charming historic buildings, including the George Roy Store (Howard and Dartnall), the Springston Hotel, the old Springston school house, the old Methodist parsonage, and four cottages more than 100 years old, all add to Springston's appeal.

While retaining its character, Springston has developed into a pleasant township with modern services, from which many residents commute the short distance to Lincoln or Christchurch city.
