Watermain across SH1

From Sunday 23 August until Friday 28 August, NZTA will be installing a new watermain across SH1. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on SH1, and temporary traffic lights will be used to manage traffic through the work site between 8pm and 6am.

Brookside Road and Tennyson Street

From Sunday 30 August until Friday 4 September, NZTA will be installing new service trenches across SH1, Brookside Road and Tennyson Street.

Jones Road, between 820 Jones Road and Hoskyns Road

From Monday 31 August until February 2027, NZTA will be installing a one-way traffic management system on Jones Road, between 820 Jones Road and Hoskyns Road. They will be upgrading and relocating underground services, installing new stormwater drainage, building new kerb and channel, and widening and upgrading the road as well as building a new signalised intersection to connect to the future bridge.
