Lincoln Community Park

The Community Park/Skatepark is located outside the front of the Lincoln Event Centre, near the existing play area. This location provides good visibility of the skate area, helping to improve the safety of the area.

It has a small bowl for learners leading to an intermediate bowl which has lots of different carve lines as well as air and transfer lines.

Street features include both large and small hubba, ledges and rails. The main design features:

  • a mini bowl which is suitable for younger/learner skater and scooter riders. This is a 9m long 600mm deep keyhole bowl
  • large hubba ramp and rail
  • a 1200mm deep bowl, a ditch-style banked area and smaller flat ledges and rail.

Prebbleton Community Park

The community park on Stationmasters Way in Prebbleton features a skate and scooter area, as well as a walking and cycling track.

The skate area features a quatre pipe, ramps and stairs.

The park also has a range of areas to suit all age groups including a colourful playground with swings, a large train and a 7.5 metre climbing net and a variety of playground equipment including a rotating tyre swing called the Rocktopus, and a covered area for winter which also provides shade in the warmer months.

Rolleston town centre youth space

The skate area is a key part of the youth space in the new Rolleston town centre, featuring a pool bowl, flow bowl and snake run. Street skate features such as stairs, banks, rails and ledges have been integrated into various pathways to add to the lines users can ride. The skate features are being designed and constructed by skate park design and build specialist Nelson Creek Skateparks and Boards

The youth space includes a range of areas for people to hang out, a large ‘Eagle Claw’ basket swing, skate park, half basketball court and netball zone and a gaga ball pit.


West Melton Community Park

Next to the West Melton Community and Recreation Centre, the skate park at West Melton Community Park features a large bowl, ramps, ledges, a quater pipe and a pump track. The community park also has a playground, sheltered barbecue area, and half-court basketball court.
