New swim class for infants

This October, the Selwyn Aquatic Centre is launching Minnows, a brand-new swim class designed especially for babies aged 4–6 months.

During the class, babies will learn to develop body control and sensory awareness, along with skills such as kicking, reaching, rolling, and head control, to help support their early development.

While the Selwyn Aquatic Centre offers a range of swim classes for 6-36 months, this is the first time the Centre has offered a class for 4–6-month-olds.

Minnows classes will run from 12 October to 17 December, with sessions held every Monday from 9-9.25am, Wednesday from 11.05-11.30am, and Thursday from 11.10-11.35am.

There are only six spaces available per class, so get in quick if you’re interested. Bookings open next Monday, 21 September.
