Around the world at CultureFest

CultureFest is back again for its 10^th year, with all of the usual favourites including an array of international food to try, a range of cultural performers and fun family-friendly activities.

Held at Lincoln Event Centre on Sunday 13 September, the event will feature over 20 different vendors showcasing the flavours of countries around the world.

Among them will be Bo Metcalf from Bo’s Kitchen, bringing a taste of Hong Kong to Lincoln.

This year she will be serving up a Hong Kong style Ice Cream Red Bean Drink, a nostalgic rich dessert-drink featuring sweet, slow-cooked red beans, creamy coconut milk, ice, and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

"It was a cherished childhood memory for many of us to visit local diners with our parents for afternoon tea, where Ice Cream Red Bean Drinks were the ultimate treat."

CultureFest is a free entry event running from 10am to 3pm, with a range of cultural groups performing, alongside market stalls, fairground rides, and sports and dance events. For more information visit selwyn.govt.nz/culturefest.
