After considering submissions on its initial proposal, the Council has resolved to adopt a separate proposal as the Council’s final proposal for representation arrangements for the 2025 local elections.

The changes made are to:

  • Maintain the current ward boundaries
    and four wards.
  • Increase the number of elected members
    from 10 to 11
  • Maintain the Malvern Community Board
  • Adopt dual names for the four wards

Any person or organisation who made a submission on the initial proposal may lodge an appeal against the Council’s decision.

An appeal must relate to the matters raised in that person’s submission. Appeals must be made in writing and received by the Council no later than 5pm Tuesday 3 December 2024.

For details of the proposal and appeals, see the public notice at selwyn.govt.nz/publicnotices
