We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Selwyn Water Limited Director, Dame Karen Poutasi.

Dame Karen was an exceptional public servant whose life’s work profoundly shaped Aotearoa New Zealand. As the country’s first female Director-General of Health, and later Chief Executive of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and Chair of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, she led with courage, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for communities.
