As we reach the end of another busy year, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helps make our district such a special place to live.

Selwyn's strength has always been its people - the volunteers, business owners, farmers, teachers and families who quietly give their time and energy to their communities. Whether you’re organising local events, helping a neighbour, or simply keeping an eye out for others, your efforts are what make Selwyn thrive.

It’s been a year of growth and change for our district, and I’m grateful for the way our communities continue to look forward with optimism and care. As your new Council settles in, our focus remains simple, to serve fairly, spend wisely, and plan for a future that keeps Selwyn strong and connected.

Over the holiday season, I hope you find time to rest, recharge, and enjoy everything our district has to offer, from summer markets and events to our beautiful lakes and plains. Please take care on the roads, look out for one another, and reach out if someone nearby could use a hand.
