Selwyn District Council has begun the recruitment process for its next permanent Chief Executive, with the role set to be advertised from 7 April 2026.
Mayor Lydia Gliddon says the appointment is an important one, requiring strong leadership across the organisation and a constructive partnership with elected members, staff and community to ensure clear direction, accountability, and delivery for Selwyn.
The Council has appointed executive search firm Sheffield to support an independent, fair and transparent recruitment process.
“This is an opportunity for an exceptional leader to help shape the future of Waikirikiri Selwyn,” Mayor Gliddon says.
Applications will open on 7 April 2026 and close on 29 April 2026.
