Health providers are being offered the opportunity to set up in the country’s fastest growing district.

The Selwyn District Council is inviting health providers to register their interest for the final remaining spaces at the Toka Hāpai Selwyn Health Hub in Rolleston.

The Toka Hāpai Selwyn Health Hub was built by the Council to provide increased capacity for health services as the district grows.

It opened in 2021 with Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand as a key partner providing health care from the hub including the Oromairaki Maternity Unit and community health services. Other health providers include a General Practice, radiology and physiotherapy.

The remaining 188 square metres of ground floor space and 329 metres of first-floor space provide an opportunities to further develop a Community Health and Social Services Hub in a dynamic region, Selwyn District Council Executive Director Commercial and Corporate Services Allison Sneddon says.

“Selwyn is the fastest growing area in New Zealand, and that growth brings increasing demand for accessible, high-quality health services. Toka Hāpai Selwyn Health Hub was designed to bring services together, making it easier for people to access the support they need in one place. This space offers the opportunity to be part of a well-established hub supporting integrated care.”

Health providers who are interested in applying can view the notice and application details on gets.govt.nz.

Expressions of interest are open until 5pm Friday 15 May.
