Lincoln Town Centre Project Update
Good progress continues on the Lincoln Town Centre project, with key milestones now clearly visible. Road pavement construction between Robert Street and the public car parks is nearing completion, helping to improve access and shape the new road layout.
The William and Robert Street intersection has now returned to two-way traffic, and we’ll keep opening roads where possible to make it easier to move around town. Over the coming weeks, crews will finish kerb and channel work, further defining the streets.
A temporary footpath from the southern car park to Robert Street remains in place until the end of June to keep pedestrians moving safely. Near the Famous Grouse Hotel, work on a new detention tank, kerbing and rain garden works are continuing to improve drainage and enhance the area.
We’re pleased to share that the overnight water main works along Gerald Street are progressing ahead of schedule, with completion now expected on 26 June, bringing this part of the project to a close sooner than originally planned (5 July).
Thank you to local businesses who joined our recent drop-in session, and everyone who stopped to chat at the Lincoln Market. We’ve really enjoyed connecting with the community, answering questions, and sharing the growing excitement as Stage One edges closer to completion in September 2026.
Stages two and three of the project, located further along Gerald Street, are expected to commence in Spring 2026.
