From midday Wednesday 12 August 2020 Council services will be operating under COVID-19 Alert Level 2.

All our services continue to operate, but there may be some restrictions or reduced services. Consider delaying your visit or request, or using one of our online services if you can.

Stay home if you are unwell.

When visiting Council facilities we are asking people to maintain physical distancing of at least 1m. Contact tracing – Tracer App QR codes are displayed at all Council facilities.

Under Alert Level 2 gatherings are limited to 100 people. This means numbers in our facilities will be limited where necessary.

In particular facilities such as the Selwyn Aquatic Centre and Selwyn Libraries will be limiting the number of people who can enter at any one time. Some programmes at the Selwyn Libraries may be postponed where physical distancing is not possible or where equipment is shared. Keep an eye on the Libraries website for details.

The Canterbury Justice of the Peace Association Council has suspended Justice of the Peace services in Libraries.

Justices’ who are comfortable doing so will continue to offer their services at their homes. Their availability is listed under “find a JP” on the Royal Federation website www.jpfed.org.nz

Keep an eye on our new COVID-19 Council updates app  on your smartphone or tablet to keep up to date with our services.
