Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Selwyn Awards Gala Dinner to celebrate the people and organisations that make the district a great place to live.

The Selwyn Awards 2023, presented by IPORT Business Park, are held every second year and recognise the outstanding work and achievements of businesses, community organisations and individuals.

This ranges from dedicated volunteers helping protect and promote the local environment or heritage, through to inspirational businesses which are diverse and inclusive, and young people doing amazing things.

The Awards Gala will be held at the Selwyn Sports Centre on 5 August and will be hosted by one of Aotearoa’s favourite television personalities, Hilary Barry. A record breaking 140 nominations were received for this year’s awards.

Council Group Manager Community Services and Facilities Denise Kidd says, “The Selwyn Awards recognise and celebrate the great work of so many people in the district. The event has become an important night on people’s calendars and we’re looking forward to a great time at this year’s awards which will be our best and biggest yet.”
