Builders can now book inspections for building consents and view reports on a portable device at any time, following recent enhancements to the Council’s consent system.

The Council is using the AlphaOne Builders App to provide the industry with a streamlined way to book inspections and view inspection reports.

People can also check the status of their consent and any issues that need addressing.

The app is used by a number of New Zealand councils and is tailored to the requirements of each authority. Council Building Team Operations Leader Jenny Lilley says the app aims to free up builders and project managers’ time on site and speed up the inspection booking process.

“It’s another tool that can be used to their advantage and make the process simpler.”
