Flood repairs will be happening on the Leeston Road Bridge from Tuesday 5 October.

The bridge was heavily damaged in May’s flooding. A temporary repair was put in place and permanent repairs are now set to begin.

The repairs are expected to take five days to complete and traffic restrictions will be in place during this time.

The bridge will be closed on Tuesday 5 October 6am-7pm. One lane will be reopened from 7pm Tuesday, with traffic lights in place to manage traffic flow. The bridge is expected be single lane until 7pm Friday 8 October. A sign-posted detour will be in place. Please be prepared for delays during this time. Thank you for your patience while we carry out this necessary work to repair the bridge.
