The first roof panels started to go up at the Indoor Courts last week, with the remainder of the roof and the innovative insulated wall panelling going up over the next few weeks as the exterior of the building takes shape.

Friday will also see the first of the courts themselves begin to take shape as over 100 concrete trucks are due to pour the main indoor court floor during an 18 hour shift.

The centre will feature eight courts for indoor sport, a climbing wall, upstairs indoor walking track and space for clubs and sporting groups to be based. It is due for completion ahead of the 2021 winter sports season.
