More than 1000 people turned out to the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Rolleston Reserve last week, as Summer in Selwyn continues to draw the crowds.

Hundreds have also turned out to events including the ever popular pool parties at Sheffield and Darfield last week and the first of our outdoor movies in December.

There is plenty still to come, with the joint Selwyn and Christchurch City Libraries Whānau Fun Day at Lincoln Library on Saturday with stories, craft, technology and more, pool parties at Southbridge and the Selwyn Aquatic Centre, another outdoor movie in Leeston and two drive-in movies.

The popular Picnics in the Park are also beginning this week, while other events include the Month of Sundays music afternoons on the Lincoln Green starting in February, along with skate jams, sports competitions and heaps of activities in Selwyn Libraries.

See our events page for a full list of events.
