Young people in Selwyn will be spoilt for choice these school holidays, with fun activities and events planned from 1-15 October.

Make your own slime, a teen pool party, inflatable world, and a range of sports will be available to keep kids, teenagers and families entertained all holidays.

Council Group Manager Community Services and Facilities Denise Kidd says it’s always a delight to deliver activities that put a smile on so many faces.

“Our holiday events are designed to be creative and diverse, so there’s something for everyone. We’re really pleased to be offering a range of activities these holidays that are sure to be a hit with young people throughout the district.”

Activities include a wind chime workshop, indoor archery and holiday favourite, Fun Science with Amadeo. His magic science show will feature extreme illusions and big booms guaranteed to excite.

These events and more can be found on the Council website at selwyn.govt.nz/events. Alternatively, pick up a term four ‘What’s on in Selwyn’ brochure from Selwyn libraries and Council facilities.

The Selwyn Sports Centre will also be running daily sport activities from Monday to Friday both weeks of the holidays, including roller skating, taekwondo, futsal, tennis and ultimate frisbee. The programme is open to kids aged seven to 12, costing $40 to $50 a day. Places are limited and registrations are essential.  Book in
