Thousands of residents have been searching for Selwyn businesses on the Selwyn Directory.

The Council-run directory offers businesses a free listing providing the opportunity to advertise their details including a map location, contacts, website and social media links and a summary of their business. It also allows businesses to advise customers about their online sales platform and let people know if they are able to deliver.

Figures show the directory is visited more than 7000 times a month and sees up to 2000 people each month in the Selwyn and
Christchurch area checking out business listings.

The directory has seen a boost in popularity since the end of the Level 4 lockdown, more than doubling its average number of visits a day as Selwyn residents look for local business options. Restaurants and cafés were the most searched for businesses,
followed by sports and recreation and accommodation.The directory also has a job vacancies page, where businesses can list job openings and advertise direct to Selwyn residents.
