A Condolence Book has been made available at Selwyn District Council following the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Residents are invited to leave messages of condolence in remembrance of Prince Philip, who died last Friday, at the age of 99.

The book will be available in the foyer of the Council offices, 2 Norman Kirk Drive, Rolleston, during business hours 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The Council will be flying the New Zealand Flag at half-mast on Tuesday 13 April, when the House of Representatives will express its sadness at the passing of His Royal Highness.

The New Zealand Flag will also be flown at half mast on Saturday 17 April to mark the funeral of His Royal Highness.
