The Selwyn Community Fund has recognised the work of a variety of groups and organisations within Selwyn. Round one has seen 22 organisations receiving funding, with a total of $39,250 allocated.

A number of these organisations are from the sports, children, events and arts sectors.

Cr Murray Lemon, Chair of the Selwyn Community Fund Committee was involved in allocating the fund for round one.

“There was a diverse range of applications for funding reflecting the range of organisations operating in the greater Selwyn district all helping to make Selwyn a great place to live, work and play,” he says.

Applications for round two close Tuesday 30 April.

“We look forward to assessing the innovative requests we are sure to attract.”

-  Rolleston Warriors Rugby League Club
-  Selwyn Basketball Club Incorporated
-  Selwyn Launch Group Inc.

-  Springs Day Club
