Council was pleased to welcome business leaders from around the district to an interactive forum to share their insights on how we can continue to shape a strong Selwyn economy.

Discussions and emerging themes highlight a shared vision for Selwyn that's not only economically prosperous, but also sustainable, environmentally conscious, socially vibrant, and future-focused.

The forum signalled the start of a journey and kickstarted engagement around the Council’s Economic Development Strategy. Chief Executive Officer Sharon Mason said, “over the coming months, we will be inviting continued conversations with local businesses and key partners, building on the momentum from the forum”.

“This forum is the first step in partnering with local businesses on our strategy, and its success opens the door to more opportunities as we work towards a more vibrant and prosperous Selwyn”.

Another opportunity for businesses to share their view is taking place at our upcoming Selwyn Business event on Thursday 14 December 2023.
