Selwyn District Council is actively monitoring and responding to the developing COVID-19 pandemic.

For all updates on Council services please see our dedicated COVID-19 page.

We have business continuity and pandemic plans in place to make sure that essential services (such as roading, water, sewerage and stormwater, refuse collection etc) will continue to be provided.

For all health information and advice, including symptoms and what to do if you are sick, as well as information on self-isolation, financial support and ways we can support each other visit the government’s dedicated Unite against Covid website.

Facilities

All group programmes and classes at all Council facilities including Selwyn Aquatic Centre and community/recreation centres will cease until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep this page updated with developments.

(We are looking at extending concession card expiry dates and considering catch-up or replacement classes and programmes at a later date where possible. Please check our facilities’ Facebook pages or websites for more information in the coming days.)

Rolleston Library will be closed on Sunday 22 March.

Lincoln Library will continue to open as normal but numbers entering may need to be limited.

Rolleston Council offices will be open as normal on Monday 23 March.

All other facilities will continue to open as normal. Note: some services may be limited or restricted. We encourage customers to contact us and access services online wherever possible.

Selwyn Aquatic Centre
All Learn to Swim classes have been cancelled until Monday 23 March, midday.
Changes have been made to Squads training and Aqua Fitness and there are restrictions around public access.
An update will be available on Monday 23 March unless changes occur before then. All up to date information can be found on their Facebook page or on the Selwyn Aquatic Centre webpage.  

JP services at Selwyn Libraries and Get your Skates On (Lincoln, West Melton, and Rolleston) have been cancelled.

Events

Citizenship Ceremonies have been cancelled.

Anzac Day services have been cancelled.

Flooding and coastal hazards drop-in sessions planned for late March have been cancelled. Find information here.
