People thinking of standing for elections are encouraged to attend a candidates information evening on 4 July.

Elections for Selwyn District Council and Malvern Community Board are coming up in October. Standing for local government is a great way for you to have a meaningful say on issues that affect our communities.

Nominations for candidates open on 19 July and close on 16 August. The candidate information evening will be held on Thursday 4 July, 7pm at the Council offices in Rolleston.

Information about the elections, and candidate requirements, is also available in the Candidate Handbook. Voting papers will be delivered in late September and voting closes on Saturday 12 October.
