Older Driver Refresher CoursePractical tips and support are on offer to help older drivers stay driving for longer.

The Staying Safe Refresher Driver Course by Age Concern is back, running on Tuesday 2 May at the Lincoln Event Centre.

It offers a refresher to help older drivers re-familiarise themselves with traffic rules and safe driving practices, increase knowledge about other transport options and stay independent for longer.

The course is run by professional driving instructors and the police will also be on hand to answer any questions, Council Road Safety Advisor Mike Patterson says.
“They’re looking to give people really practical tips and help out, things even like talking about the modern technology in cars. It’s interactive and an opportunity to ask questions. It’s about giving people confidence to stay on the roads for longer to keep your independence and keep your stills up, and to stay safer for longer.”
