car park and car park sign with playground in the backgroundWork has begun this week on improvements to the car park at Foster Park, upgrading the existing gravel car park off Broadlands Drive.

The existing gravel car park will be replaced by a new asphalt car park with 213 car parks, a kiss-and-go area and new footpaths, along with landscaping, lighting and fencing.

The car park is being sealed to provide easier and safer access to Foster Park and improve parking for users.

The contractor for this work is Downer and the new car park is expected to be open in late March 2022.

The gravel car park area will be closed during the construction with no pedestrian access or parking.

Alternative parking is available at the Selwyn Sports Centre car park and the car park off Dynes Road.
