There are plenty of events and activities on in Selwyn over the summer break.

Discover your backyard with our 100 Days of Summer guide – see how many activities you can complete over the break and tag us on Instagram @sensationalselwyn.

In January, head along to one of the Selwyn Pool Parties at Southbridge, Darfield or Sheffield. There will be inflatables, games, prizes, a sausage sizzle and DJ playing your favourite songs. Then on 2 February, ease back into the school year at our own Floatchella Pool Party with lilos and local musicians.

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic on 16 January will be packed with family fun including Zirka Circus performances, Pedalmania crazy bikes, storytelling, face painting, House of Bricks, bouncy castles and toddlers’ gym. The day finishes with the famous teddy parade with great prizes up for grabs.Summer in Selwyn 2018

Join Selwyn Libraries at the Foster Park Playground every Monday and Wednesday in January for fun activities and games. At your local library make and illustrate your own digital or paper book with Think, Create Write or try some of our crafty ideas at PaperPlay. If games are more your thing, bring your friends and family down for our Games Challenges.

Summer Reading BINGO is running until the 25 January, collect your BINGO card from the library. Don’t forget you can have 24/7 access to eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines with your library card and PIN.
