This summer we’ll be hosting street barbeques to help locals meet their street.

These are fun informal events to help you meet your neighbourhood, while enjoying some food, music and games for the kids.

Residents also have the opportunity to apply for a Meet Your Street event in their street! Four locations are up for grabs – this year we want you to tell us where you think the final four Meet your Street locations should be in March 2019.

Applications are open now until 30 November with the lucky winning street announced early December.Meet your street

Here in Selwyn we also encourage neighbourhoods to organise their own local street gathering.

If you are interested in hosting your own, we offer a subsidy of up to $75 per street gathering (conditions apply).

With spring just underway there's still plenty of time to nominate your street.
