With the second week of school holidays now well under way, more than 50 KidsFest events will be held around Selwyn by the end of the week.

Dozens of events have already taken place across the district, with kids enjoying a broad range  of activities.

Senior Events and Recreation Advisor, Dave Tippett says the organisers are delighted with how KidsFest has gone so far. “Contributing to a holiday programme reaching across the district provides plenty of entertainment during the cooler months, and participation this year has been fantastic,” he says.

KidsFest children's marketMr Tippett says with events ranging from discomania to parkour and film making, there’s something for everyone. “We’ve worked hard to create a wide range of activities, and our feedback so far has been extremely positive with kids going home happy after attending KidsFest events. We had a number of events sell out quickly, which was great to see, and it shows KidsFest in Selwyn is as popular as ever.”

Mr Tippett says it has been encouraging that event organisers have continued to support KidsFest with events and activities for the kids of Selwyn. “We are really proud of everyone in Selwyn who is involved with delivering KidsFest.”

While there’s only a few days left, there are still a number of activities with spaces left if you are searching for something to do over the last few days of the holidays.

Some of the most popular venues have been the district’s libraries, hosting a range of activities. For more information head to www.kidsfest.co.nz
