December may still be a few weeks away, but summer has officially sprung in Selwyn with the opening of the district’s outdoor pools.

Teens and families made a splash at the Darfield Pool on Sunday 13 November at a pool party to celebrate the start of the swimming season.

Inflatables and spot prizes were available on the day, with 140 people turning out for the celebrations.

A second pool party will be happening at Southbridge Pool on Sunday 20 November from 1pm – 3pm. Normal pool admission applies.
