Young people are being given the opportunity to help design one of Selwyn’s biggest development projects.

The Selwyn Youth Council is carrying out its annual youth survey, asking young people around the district for their views on a youth focused space in the new Rolleston Town Centre development.

The third annual ‘What Do YOUth Think?’ survey will see the Youth Council seeking feedback at high schools in the district and Lincoln University for what could be included in the area. The survey is also available online.

The Council is aiming to make the new town centre space a place for everyone, with community as well as commercial areas. That includes an area with a focus on young people, where they have had a say in the design to make sure it is a space that will meet their needs and be a great space to live and play.

The survey is open to anyone aged 14–24 years old and living in the district. Everyone who completes the survey will go in the draw to win a Sony Bluetooth Speaker valued at $79.
